Carrie Underhill has sung about being a lonely soul, but now, she’s giving a performance of her own.
The British singer and songwriter will be performing on the London stage on Saturday, May 31 at the Royal Opera House.
She’s a popular presence in the world of pop music and has sold over 100 million albums worldwide.
“It’s a beautiful song,” she told The Times.
“It’s not easy to sing it, but I’m just singing it out of love.
It’s a very simple song.”
While the Royal Shakespeare Company has already staged the show, the new project has a lot more to offer.
The Royal Opera has also been approached to play it for the first time in its history, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is currently rehearsing for a performance in London, which will be broadcast in the UK.
“The Royal Philoctetals have just begun rehearsing the music and are already working on arrangements,” said an orchestra spokesman.
“The show will be presented by the Royal College of Music.”
A huge crowd is expected to be at the Opera House for the show.
It is the first Royal Philo concert since it opened in 2019.
